The updated 2021 Niro gives modern hybrid technology a sleek new look, bringing the efficiency of an HEV to a fun-to-drive compact SUV.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2022 Niro has five trim levels from the LX to the EX Premium. Starting at $24,690, the Niro boasts impressive features: 104 HP with 109 lb.-ft. torque and Lithium-Ion Polymer battery.
The Niro’s 1.6L, gasoline-direct injection (GDI) engine provides necessary power to the hybrid drivetrain—so there’s no sacrifice in the fun-to-drive department. The parallel hybrid system pairs a gasoline engine with an electric motor to deliver up to an EPA-estimated 53/48/50 (City/Highway/Combined) MPG.
A highly responsive, 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) with Sport Mode shifts gears smoothly and quickly for seamless acceleration. Sport Mode provides improved steering feel, increased throttle response, and raised shift points. Regenerative braking captures the energy produced when you slow down and uses it to recharge Niro’s lithium-ion drive battery.
Niro’s generous interior space flexes to fit your life, with a standard 60/40 split-folding rear seat that allows for up to 63.2 cubic feet of cargo space, and stay comfortable, with an available 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat, high positioned seating showcases a superior view of the road, available heated and ventilated seats, available heated steering wheel, and available power sunroof.3
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) with Pedestrian Detection, Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW). Just to name a few.
